Truthfully this would not shock me one bit if this were true. The choreographer for the Miss Universe pageant, Michael Schwandt, revealed in an interview that Donald Trump hand picks six of the Miss Universe finalists, only allowing nine to be chosen by the judges, to assure there are some lookers for the TV audience.
The reason for the Donald’s interference besides the fact he is a total control freak? Well supposedly he doesn’t feel that the hottest girls get through often enough.
Trump doesn’t often agree with the choices the judges make, and wants certain girls, who he thinks are the most beautiful, to go through to the finals. So he has them line up single file, and has an assistant (no joke!) take notes on each one for him. Trump then looks over the notes and pick six.
Afterward, the remaining nine are left up to the judges who presumably look at how well rounded the contestant is not just how close to some idiots idea of perfection might be. Sadly it’s a not well kept secret that the majority, if not all the contestants have had some sort of cosmetic surgery, so essentially Trump is more or less deciding which plastic surgeons work he likes best.
